Why a Smile is The Best Makeup!

During the summer having loads of makeup on is just a mess! With the heat and the sweat – nothing could be worse! So, during the hot months of smile I rely on my smile as my makeup and lay off all the heat shadows and foundations.

Something as simple as your smile (its free too, I might add!) can make anyone look so beautiful! Not only on the exterior but a smile comes from the inside out, so you’ll feel good and look beautiful too! This is because the act of smiling triggers your brain to feel happy and confident, embrace this feeling and smile more!

In addition, smiling because just show off your teeth. Smiling lights up your eyes and makes your whole face look brighter. This effect makes you look (and feel) happier and more confident! What could be more beautiful then that?

So put down the makeup brushes and apply the smile, everyone! You’ll be looking better and feeling better in no time!

How To Style A Hat For Summer!

When it comes to hats I’m not a huge fan… Hat hair, no where to put my sunglasses – usually I’ll just skip it. But when it does come time to wear a hat I have this one.

I bought it at Aritzia (a Canadian store) years ago and I never really wore it until this summer. I love it because its simple, you can dress it up or down but most of all it goes with EVERYTHING in my closet meaning I don’t have to look for more!

One struggle about wearing hats though is find a cute hair style to go with it! Usually I wear my hair down but when I wear a hat I just feel like that’s to plain!

So I’ve found 3 ways that I love to wear my hair when I’m wearing a hat!

My Five Favourite (Invisible) Beauty Items For Summer!

When it comes to beauty a lot of people only consider what you can see on the surface, but in reality a lot of work is put in that people don’t see!

Here are five items that I love but that no one ever sees:

                  -It is an awesome primer for your eyeshadows in the summer because it really holds all the shadow in place! Even when your sweating this primer doesn’t let anything run!

2. Philosophy One-Step Facial Cleansing Cloths

                  -These all-in-one wipes remove your makeup and cleanse your face at the same time! They are the best and fastest way to clean your face before bed! They’re awesome in the summer especially because of the fresh after feeling!

3. DKNY Be Delicious Perfume

                  -Best summer perfume ever! It has a fresh and clean smell that lasts all day long! Definitely my go to scent for the season!

4. EOS Lip Balm

                  -During the summer my lips are always dry and pealing – not pretty! The best way to moisturize them and make it last is this lip balm! My favourite is pink but all of them work amazingly well!

5. Sephora Wide Tooth Comb

                  -Wide tooth combs are a must for the summer and beach hair! This one from Sephora I bought at least three years ago and I’ve used it everyday since! It's amazing that every tooth is still there!
